Job Responsibilities
As an HR & Admin Officer at Sherman Gray Limited, your core duties will include:
- Managing and maintaining employee records including onboarding, terminations, and employee data updates.
- Coordinating employee training and development programs, tracking participation and feedback.
- Monitoring time-off requests and managing leave balances for all staff.
- Supporting recruitment efforts by drafting job posts, scheduling interviews, and conducting background/reference checks.
- Overseeing payroll administration and benefits processing.
- Developing and enforcing HR policies and procedures that align with company goals and labor laws.
- Assisting in preparation of HR reports, employee engagement metrics, and performance analysis.
- Addressing employee grievances and resolving workplace disputes.
- Supervising general office operations including procurement of supplies and facility management.
- Ensuring legal compliance with Nigerian labor laws and internal HR guidelines.
Requirements and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in HR and administrative functions.
- Strong understanding of HRIS, database management, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent time management, organization, and multi-tasking abilities.
- Ability to maintain discretion and handle confidential information professionally.
- Solid knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
- Good interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
