Job Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Technician at Seplat Energy – Offshore QIT Field, you will:

  • Carry out routine preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
  • Identify and respond to abnormal system conditions to prevent breakdowns.
  • Ensure safe and optimal operation of rotating and static equipment across platforms.
  • Use Work Execution System (WES) tools, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Lockout Tagout (LOTO), and LMRA.
  • Participate in safety programs including Behavior-Based Safety (BBS), HAZID, Near Miss & Incident Reporting.
  • Support Emergency Response Preparedness efforts.
  • Develop safe and detailed maintenance work packages for upcoming projects.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and ensure adherence to Seplat’s operational standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • At least an HND (Upper Credit) or City & Guilds Final Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years’ experience in oil & gas field operations or offshore platforms.
  • Strong working knowledge of offshore equipment, systems diagnostics, and failure troubleshooting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a diverse team and handle high-stress environments independently.
  • NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
