One of its most vital programmes is Restoring Family Links (RFL) — which reconnects families separated by conflict, displacement, or disasters.
This role is key to ensuring the safety, accuracy, and efficiency of case data that supports family reunification, in partnership with other national Red Cross Societies and the ICRC.
Job Title: Data Administrator

Reports To: Assistant Coordinator, RFL Programme
As the Data Administrator, you will play a lead role in managing all case information, ensuring it is properly stored, secured, and transmitted using NRCS and ICRC-approved systems.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end data entry process into the FLANSWERS case management system
- Ensure quality control of data related to family tracing cases, including completeness and accuracy
- Liaise with partner societies to receive and acknowledge family tracing cases
- Maintain secure digital and physical archives of all RFL records
- Generate statistics and reports to support programme activities and donor reporting
- Coordinate with the ICRC and other National Societies on data transmission through platforms like Prot6 and Aspera
- Support field missions during emergency RFL responses, providing technical data assistance
- Enforce data confidentiality and protection protocols in line with Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and Red Cross policy
- Train RFL volunteers and staff on digital documentation procedures and tools
- Develop internal systems for backup, recovery, and secure storage of sensitive data
Required Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must demonstrate a strong understanding of data systems and humanitarian principles.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Library Science, Statistics, Social Sciences, or related field
- 2–5 years professional experience managing organizational data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and case management databases
- Experience working in NGOs, humanitarian organizations, or social service institutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Familiarity with global case tracking platforms like FLANSWERS, Prot6, or equivalent tools
- Basic knowledge of humanitarian confidentiality, neutrality, and protection principles
Added Advantage:
- Ability to speak Hausa or another local Nigerian language
- Previous experience working with Red Cross/Red Crescent movement
- Knowledge of data encryption, privacy tools, or GDPR/NDPR compliance
