About the Role

CFCU is actively seeking Member Experience Specialists to join its growing team. This is a remote, full-time role designed for individuals passionate about providing excellent service and helping members achieve financial confidence.

As a Member Experience Specialist, you will be the voice and advocate of the credit union, handling inquiries with empathy, accuracy, and efficiency. The position goes beyond standard customer service—you’ll be building trust, strengthening member relationships, and promoting tailored solutions that enhance financial well-being.

This opportunity is ideal for professionals with prior call center or financial services experience who are looking to combine career growth with meaningful impact.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Respond to member inquiries across multiple service areas, including loans, debit/ATM issues, online banking, wire transfers, and account services.
  • Process everyday financial transactions such as fee reversals, transfers, payments, check orders, and account updates with speed and accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve member issues while escalating complex concerns to the appropriate departments when needed.
  • Educate members about financial products, services, and self-service digital tools to help them reach their financial goals.
  • Actively promote relevant credit union services, opening new opportunities and strengthening long-term relationships.
  • Document all interactions in the internal CRM system, ensuring clarity and compliance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying service trends and recommending solutions.
  • Support the team by training new agents, answering peer questions, and sharing best practices during collaborative sessions.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 2–5 years of call center experience (financial services experience is a plus).
  • A high school diploma (or equivalent).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on professionalism.
  • Comfort with technology, including Windows-based systems, Microsoft Office, Zoom, and CRM platforms.
  • Ability to type at least 40 words per minute and handle data entry accurately.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proven ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
