Job Responsibilities
As a Reservoir Engineer at Seplat Energy Lagos 2025, your core responsibilities include:
- Conducting reservoir fluid characterization, pressure-volume-temperature (PVT) analysis, and field development studies.
- Applying material balance and reservoir simulation models using industry software.
- Supporting production optimization and depletion planning strategies.
- Conducting reservoir surveillance, performance forecasting, and opportunity evaluation.
- Collaborating with geologists, production engineers, and economists on field development plans (FDPs).
- Preparing detailed workover and new drill well evaluations.
- Managing and updating dynamic reservoir models to identify bottlenecks and long-term risks.
- Leading economic assessments and reserves estimation reporting.
- Ensuring compliance with HSE and regulatory requirements across reservoir operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Second-Class Upper Division (2.1) minimum.
- 7–10 years’ experience in reservoir engineering roles, preferably in upstream oil & gas.
- Strong command of software like Petrel, Eclipse, OFM, Prosper, and GAP.
- Practical experience with artificial lift systems, reservoir surveillance, and economic evaluations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Must have an NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
