As a Trade Officer, your primary responsibility will be to implement trade finance strategies within the business and commercial banking space in the northern region. You will work closely with relationship managers to support structured trade and commodity finance deals, monitor trade flows, and ensure client satisfaction. The role demands attention to detail, solid product knowledge, and a strong grasp of financial analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a first degree in any field. A background in Accounting or Finance is advantageous.
  • Trade finance certifications like CDCS, CITF, or CFA Level 2 candidacy are added advantages.

Experience:

  • 3–4 years in trade deal structuring and advisory
  • 1–2 years in trade sales and revenue generation
  • 3–4 years in financial analysis and loan monitoring

This is a mid-to-senior level role responsible for driving trade finance revenue within the South-South region. You will play a strategic role in harnessing new and existing business opportunities, structuring trade deals, and working with commercial banking teams to meet growth targets. The position also involves managing the performance of trade portfolios and ensuring compliance with international trade standards.

Qualifications:

  • First degree in any field (Finance or Accounting preferred)
  • Additional trade finance certification (CDCS, CITF, CITFP, or CFA Level 2 candidate) is an added advantage

The Abuja-based Trade Manager will be pivotal in driving regional trade sales and structuring complex trade deals. You’ll act as a strategic advisor to business banking clients, offering tailored trade solutions and contributing to the regional branch network’s trade finance objectives.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree (Finance, Accounting, or Business preferred)
  • Certifications in trade finance (CDCS, CITF, CITFP) and/or CFA Level 2 will set you apart
