Location: Shoreditch, London (3 days in-office, with occasional visits to the Operations Centre in Leytonstone)
Company: Reconome
At Reconome, the mission is clear: make technology accessible for everyone while protecting the planet. Since its founding in 2018, Reconome has become a leader in the circular economy by transforming surplus IT equipment into opportunities for social and environmental impact.
Rather than sending unused laptops and phones to storage or landfill, Reconome securely repurposes them and delivers the devices to people who lack access to technology. This approach tackles two pressing global issues at once—digital exclusion and e-waste—and creates meaningful outcomes for communities across the UK.
Working at Reconome means joining a forward-thinking, purpose-driven business where your work helps close the digital divide and contributes to a sustainable future.
The Role
Reconome is seeking an Executive Assistant (EA) to provide direct support to the CEO and senior leadership team. This role is more than traditional administration—it’s about keeping leadership aligned, ensuring strategic goals are executed, and enabling decisions that move the business forward.
As the Executive Assistant, you’ll operate as a central point of coordination, driving accountability, streamlining communication, and ensuring priorities are delivered on time. You’ll work closely with executives, board members, investors, and key stakeholders, building trust through professionalism, discretion, and proactive support.
Key Responsibilities
In this hybrid role, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Managing calendars, travel plans, and scheduling for the CEO and executive team.
- Prioritising commitments, filtering requests, and ensuring time is focused on high-value activities.
- Preparing materials, agendas, and follow-ups for meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitoring deadlines, anticipating challenges, and preventing last-minute issues.
- Coordinating board and investor meetings, including logistics and document preparation.
- Acting as the first point of contact for the CEO’s office, representing the business with professionalism.
- Developing and maintaining processes that improve efficiency across the leadership team.
- Capturing and sharing knowledge effectively, leveraging modern tools (including AI) to keep information organised.
What Success Looks Like
Your contribution will be measured by outcomes, not just tasks completed. Success in this role means:
- Leadership time is optimised and focused on strategic decisions.
- Meetings are productive, action-oriented, and lead to measurable results.
- Communication flows seamlessly between executives, teams, and stakeholders.
- The CEO and leadership team are empowered to focus on growth and impact.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly. Reconome values individuals who are:
- Organised and proactive, with the ability to anticipate needs.
- Resilient and calm under pressure, even in complex situations.
- Discreet and trustworthy, handling sensitive information with care.
- Strong communicators, able to hold leaders accountable while maintaining professionalism.
- Curious, adaptable, and motivated to continuously improve systems and workflows.
Life at Reconome
Reconome is more than just a workplace—it’s a mission-driven community. Team members are expected to put customers first, work hard to achieve excellence, care for colleagues, take ownership of their work, and celebrate successes along the way. Most importantly, employees remain grounded in the company’s purpose: to create equal opportunities through technology while reducing environmental harm.
Benefits & Perks
Reconome recognises the importance of supporting its team with meaningful benefits. Employees enjoy:
- A competitive salary package with employer pension contributions.
- Flexible hybrid working model (3 days in-office, 2 remote).
- Opportunities for career development and training.
- Enhanced parental leave to support family life.
- A Staff Tech Purchase Scheme, giving access to discounted devices.
- Cycle-to-work scheme and other sustainability initiatives.
- Team socials, community activities, and a collaborative culture.
- The chance to contribute to a company with a clear social and environmental mission.
